Representative David Kustoff, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Tennessee’s 8th district since 2017, shared a series of tweets addressing various topics including antisemitism, bipartisan legislation, and historical remembrance. Born in Memphis in 1966 and residing in Germantown, Kustoff holds degrees from the University of Memphis.
On June 5, 2025, Kustoff welcomed President Trump’s First Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Antisemitism, Elan S. Carr, to the House of Representatives. He expressed gratitude for Carr’s visit and discussion with lawmakers about combating the rise in antisemitism. “This morning, I welcomed President Trump’s First Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Antisemitism @ElanSCarr to the House of Representatives,” he tweeted.
Later that day, on June 5, Kustoff announced his involvement in introducing new bipartisan legislation aimed at improving airport access and reducing congestion. The proposed bill is called the “Don’t Miss Your Flight Act” and involves collaboration with representatives Steve Cohen, Marsha Blackburn, and Senator Tammy Duckworth. “NEW BILL: I joined @RepCohen, @MarshaBlackburn, and @SenDuckworth to introduce the Don’t Miss Your Flight Act,” he stated.
On June 6, 2025, Representative Kustoff commemorated D-Day by honoring Allied troops’ efforts during World War II. He acknowledged their bravery as they stormed Normandy’s beaches on June 6th in defense of freedom against tyranny. Reflecting on this historical event’s significance after 81 years he noted: “On June 6th ,1944 Allied troops stormed the beaches of Normandy to defend freedom…”
