On June 16, 2025, Rep. Kustoff reflected on a significant moment in recent American political history. He noted that “10 years ago today @realDonaldTrump came down this escalator to announce that he was running for president— changing the game forever! “
The following day, June 17, 2025, he addressed issues of government regulation by stating “Government overreach? Gone. You’re welcome.” He highlighted the introduction of “The One Big Beautiful Bill” which aims to eliminate the “$600 IRS surveillance reporting rule” affecting everyday Americans engaged in small transactions.

David Kustoff was born in Memphis in 1966 and currently resides in Germantown. He is an alumnus of the University of Memphis where he earned both his BA and JD degrees.
