Rep. David Kustoff, currently a U.S. Congress member representing Tennessee’s 8th District, shared several updates on his activities and meetings via social media. These posts highlighted his engagements with local entities and community events.
On May 2, 2025, Kustoff tweeted about his meeting with the Tennessee Electric Cooperative Association, where he met with CEO Mike Knotts and Gibson Electric and Gibson Connect President Dan Rodamaker. He expressed gratitude, saying, “Thank you for helping power our community!”
The following day, May 3, 2025, Kustoff expressed his enjoyment of community interaction during a local event. He tweeted, “I had a good time in Weakley County this morning at the Tennessee Iris Festival! I enjoyed seeing everyone and celebrating the community spirit that makes this such a great place to work and live.”
On May 4, 2025, in recognition of International Firefighters Day, Kustoff acknowledged the bravery of local firefighters. He tweeted, “On International Firefighters Day, I want to personally thank every firefighter in West Tennessee who puts their life on the line to protect our schools, homes, and families.” He further noted the importance of honoring those who have been lost and expressed gratitude for their service.
David Kustoff has been serving in the U.S. Congress since 2017, following the footsteps of Stephen Fincher. Born in Memphis, Tennessee in 1966, Kustoff is a resident of Germantown and an alumnus of the University of Memphis, where he earned a BA and JD.
