Austin Robert Drummond, the suspect in a quadruple homicide in Lake County, Tennessee, has been apprehended, according to a statement released by Congressman David Kustoff.
Kustoff expressed gratitude to the U.S. Marshals Service, the FBI, and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation for their work in concluding the manhunt. He also thanked several state and local law enforcement agencies involved in the search, including the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Madison County Sheriff’s Office, Lake County Sheriff’s Office, Dyer County Sheriff’s Office, and Jackson Police Department.
“West Tennessee is fortunate to have federal, state, and local law enforcement agency coordination. An all-of-the-above approach to fighting crime is instrumental in making our communities a safer place to live, work, and raise a family,” Kustoff stated.
He added that he and his wife Roberta are keeping the victims and their families in their thoughts.
David Kustoff has represented Tennessee’s 8th district in Congress since 2017 after succeeding Stephen Fincher. He was born in Memphis in 1966 and currently resides in Germantown. Kustoff earned both his BA (1989) and JD (1992) from the University of Memphis.
