Rep. David Kustoff, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Tennessee’s 8th district, recently shared his views on various national and international issues through a series of tweets. Having replaced Stephen Fincher in 2017, Kustoff has continued to voice his opinions on security and policy matters pertinent to both his constituents and the broader United States.
On June 17, 2025, Rep. Kustoff expressed gratitude towards Secretary Noem, Customs and Border Protection (CBP), and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) for their efforts in securing U.S. borders. He conveyed this appreciation by stating “Promises Made, Promises Kept! Thank you @Sec_Noem, @CBP, & @DHS for keeping our borders secure!”
Later that day, he reflected on his previous meeting with Prime Minister Netanyahu regarding Iran’s geopolitical stance. He emphasized the threat posed by Iran’s ambitions by declaring “Last year I met with Prime Minister @Netanyahu to discuss Iran. Let’s be crystal clear: the Iranian regime doesn’t want peace — it wants power, destruction, and death. Iran must never be allowed to obtain a nuclear weapon. Not now. Not ever.”
On June 18, 2025, Rep. Kustoff supported a recent Supreme Court decision related to state rights over medical procedures involving minors. He acknowledged Tennessee’s efforts led by its Attorney General by asserting “The Supreme Court made the correct decision. Tennessee—and every other state—has the right to protect children from irreversible medical procedures pushed by radical activists. Thank you @AGTennessee for leading this effort!”
David Kustoff was born in Memphis in 1966 and currently resides in Germantown at age 56. A graduate of the University of Memphis with both a BA (1989) and JD (1992), he continues to serve as a representative of Tennessee’s interests in Congress.
