Rep. David Kustoff, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Tennessee’s 8th district since 2017, has been actively engaging with his constituents and national issues through social media. Born in Memphis in 1966, Kustoff currently resides in Germantown and holds degrees from the University of Memphis.
On May 22, 2025, Rep. Kustoff tweeted about the efforts by himself and his colleagues on the Ways and Means Committee to prepare for significant legislative developments. He stated that they have spent over two years listening to Americans and shaping policy, culminating in “POTUS’s One Big Beautiful Bill cements key provisions from the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017”.
The following day, May 23, 2025, he acknowledged President Biden’s commitment to enhancing American energy independence. In his tweet, he noted that “Drivers across the country are seeing gas prices go down!”, attributing this development to promises made by the current administration.
Later on May 23rd, Rep. Kustoff shared his experience speaking at a Memorial Day Ceremony held at UT Martin in Weakley County. He expressed it was an honor to pay tribute to those who served their nation valiantly by stating “It was an honor to pay tribute to the brave men and women who paid the ultimate sacrifice.”
