Rep. David Kustoff, who represents Tennessee’s 8th district in the U.S. Congress, recently posted a series of statements on social media addressing congressional priorities, federal spending, infrastructure investment, and crime reduction efforts.

On September 4, 2025, Kustoff shared his participation in a radio show interview: “It was great joining @ToddStarnes on his show to discuss some of Congress’s priorities as we move forward after our August district work period. Washington has a massive federal spending addiction, and it’s up to @HouseGOP to restore fiscal sanity.”

Later that day, he commented on national economic policy and infrastructure investment: ” @POTUS’s America First agenda is powering a new era of prosperity! The $1B investment in U.S. grid infrastructure is creating jobs & strengthening our energy dominance. @HouseGOP has passed critical legislation to incentivize Made in America like never before—boosting” (September 4, 2025).

In another post on September 4, Kustoff discussed law enforcement efforts against violent crime: “I joined @NewsNation’s @BlakeBurman this week to discuss tackling violent crime across our country. The American people expect every level of government to confront lawlessness. Thanks to @POTUS’ leadership, federal partners like the FBI are stepping up to help close cases and”.

Kustoff has served as the representative for Tennessee’s 8th District since 2017 after succeeding Stephen Fincher. He was born in Memphis in 1966 and currently resides in Germantown at age 56. Kustoff holds both undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Memphis.
