Rep. David Kustoff, currently serving in the U.S. Congress and representing Tennessee’s 8th district since 2017, recently shared updates on significant national and local issues via social media.
On June 20, 2025, Rep. Kustoff expressed his approval of the current immigration enforcement policies by stating that “Illegal border crossings down 93% compared to this time last year. ZERO illegal immigrants released in the US.” He emphasized this achievement as representative of “America First.”
Later the same day, he addressed the people of West Tennessee regarding federal assistance for recovery efforts following severe weather events. In his post, he announced that “much needed federal assistance has been approved to support our recovery from the devastating storms, flooding and tornadoes.” He extended gratitude towards President Biden for providing support during these challenging times.

Born in Memphis in 1966 and now residing in Germantown, David Kustoff graduated from the University of Memphis with a BA in 1989 and earned his JD from the same institution in 1992.
