Rep. David Kustoff, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Tennessee’s 8th district since 2017, shared several updates via social media on May 6, 2025. His posts highlighted achievements in law enforcement and meetings with key figures in Tennessee’s banking and manufacturing sectors.
On May 6, Rep. Kustoff expressed gratitude towards law enforcement for their efforts in a significant drug seizure: “When law enforcement has the support they need, results happen.” He thanked AG Pam Bondi and the DEA for leading what he described as “the largest fentanyl seizure in U.S. history.”
Later that day, Rep. Kustoff detailed a meeting with members of the Tennessee Bankers Association: “I enjoyed meeting with the @TNBankers, including Tennessee Bankers Association President @ColinBarrett.” The meeting included discussions with Greg Gonzalez from the Tennessee Department of Financial Institutions and other prominent figures from various banks.
In another post on May 6, Rep. Kustoff mentioned his visit to Parris Manufacturing: “Good to meet with Parris Manufacturing President Craig Phillips and Owner Gary Phillips.” He acknowledged the company’s long-standing presence in Hardin County since 1936.
David Kustoff was born in Memphis, Tennessee in 1966 and resides in Germantown. He graduated from the University of Memphis with a BA in 1989 and later earned a JD from the same institution in 1992.
