Rep. David Kustoff, who represents Tennessee’s 8th district in the U.S. Congress, shared updates on legislative and community activities through a series of posts on August 1 and 2, 2025.
On August 1, Kustoff emphasized border security efforts by stating, “Border security is national security. That’s why @HouseGOP passed the One Big Beautiful Bill — to help @POTUS & @DHSgov secure our borders! “ He posted this message at 17:38 UTC.
Later that day at 23:27 UTC, he reported on a local meeting: “It was a great meeting with the UCL Financial Group this afternoon in Shelby County. I am grateful for Tim Moran and Mark Miller, @onenaifa, and all our partners for their commitment to serving Tennessee’s consumers and small businesses.”
On August 2 at 20:04 UTC, Kustoff highlighted his attendance at an event supporting conservation efforts: “This week I attended a @DucksUnlimited reception at the iconic Bass Pro Pyramid in Shelby County. Grateful to DU CEO Adam Putnam and Chief Policy Officer Zach Hartman for the invitation and for their continued work to support outdoorsmen in West Tennessee and across the country.”
Kustoff has served as the congressional representative for Tennessee’s 8th District since replacing Stephen Fincher in 2017. Born in Memphis in 1966, he resides in Germantown and holds both undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Memphis.
