Rep. David Kustoff, who represents Tennessee’s 8th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of updates on July 31, 2025, highlighting his recent engagements and legislative achievements.
In one post from July 31, Kustoff recapped his appearance at a local business event: “It was great to speak at the Tennessee Business Forum in Shelby County about economic growth in and around Blue Oval City! It was nice seeing community leaders including @GovBillLee. I was glad I could share the work that @WaysandMeansGOP is doing to support businesses in our”.
Later that day, he emphasized legislative actions by House Republicans: ” @HouseGOP is delivering for the American people! By passing the One Big Beautiful Bill, we’ve secured historic tax cuts to keep more money in your pockets. On top of that, we passed a bold $9 billion rescissions package to cut wasteful government spending.”
In another update posted on July 31, Kustoff mentioned meeting with local officials: “It was great to meet with Tiptonville Mayor Cliff Berry and Police Chief Joe England. Thank you for serving Lake County! “
Kustoff has served as the representative for Tennessee’s 8th District since 2017, succeeding Stephen Fincher. He was born in Memphis in 1966 and currently resides in Germantown. Kustoff earned both his undergraduate degree (1989) and law degree (1992) from the University of Memphis.
