Rep. David Kustoff, a U.S. Congressman representing Tennessee’s 8th district since 2017, used his Twitter account to comment on recent legislative activity and economic developments in late July 2025.
On July 29, Kustoff posted about the passage of the “One Big Beautiful Bill” by House Republicans. He wrote, “Tennesseans know: If @HouseGOP had not passed the One Big Beautiful Bill, families would be staring down a 26% tax hike.
House Democrats wanted:
Your overtime pay taxed
Your hard-earned tips taxed
An open and unsafe border
More regulation on American energy
House”.
The following day, July 30, Kustoff shared details from a field hearing at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in California. He stated, “At the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in California, I participated in a @WaysandMeansGOP field hearing focused on the One Big Beautiful Bill.
I questioned Jay Timmons, President and CEO of the National Association of Manufacturers. Mr. Timmons testified about the importance https://t.co/sYf8V5sBi0“.
Later that day, Kustoff commented on recent economic indicators and cooperation between House Republicans and the White House: ” @POTUS’s economy is ROARING back! GDP growth is beating expectations and America First is working!
@HouseGOP will keep working with the White House to deliver a winning economy! https://t.co/AIy27oNzCg“.
