Rep. David Kustoff, U.S. Congressman representing Tennessee’s 8th district since 2017, shared updates on his recent activities in Hardeman County and national legislative efforts through a series of social media posts on April 10, 2026.

On that day, Kustoff met with local officials and community leaders. He wrote, “It was good meeting with Middleton Mayor Evan Mott in Hardeman County. I appreciate the work you do to make Middleton a good place to live.” (April 10, 2026).

Kustoff also addressed election security measures he supports at the federal level. In another post on April 10, he stated, “A strong majority of Americans believe that securing our elections is common sense. That’s why I cosponsored and voted for the SAVE America Act, to strengthen election integrity by requiring voter ID.”

Later that evening, Kustoff attended a meeting focused on environmental management in the region. He posted, “I spoke at the West TN River Basin Authority Board of Directors Meeting in Hardeman County. I appreciate the work you all do to keep our rivers & streams healthy. Thank you to Executive Director David Blackwood for inviting me.” (April 10, 2026).

David Kustoff has served as a member of Congress for Tennessee’s 8th District since succeeding Stephen Fincher in 2017. Born in Memphis in 1966 and currently residing in Germantown, Kustoff graduated from the University of Memphis with a BA in 1989 and earned his JD from the same institution in 1992.
