Rep. David Kustoff, U.S. Congressman representing Tennessee’s 8th district since 2017, recently shared updates on his legislative activities and policy positions through a series of posts on social media.
On August 13, 2025, Kustoff posted: “Under @POTUS’s leadership, we’re reversing failed policies, securing our borders, and putting America First! This facility will help keep Tennessee safe and prosperous while supporting @WhiteHouse’s commitment to law and order.”
Later the same day, he wrote about an event in Shelby County: “I appreciated the opportunity to speak with the Arlington @Chamber38002 in Shelby County to share the wins the One Big Beautiful Bill is bringing to West Tennessee. Thank you to Arlington Mayor @mvw38002 for the introduction and to Chamber Director Tonia Howell for having me!” (August 13, 2025).
On August 14, Kustoff discussed crime rates in Washington D.C., stating: “I joined @BlakeBurman on @NewsNation to address the alarming rise in crime across Washington, D.C., and why continued federal intervention is important. Crime in our nation’s capital has reached unacceptable levels. @POTUS & @HouseGOP are committed to ensuring that every”.
Kustoff was born in Memphis in 1966 and currently resides in Germantown. He holds both a BA and JD from the University of Memphis. Before joining Congress, he replaced Stephen Fincher as representative of Tennessee’s 8th District.
