Rep. David Kustoff, who represents Tennessee’s 8th district in the U.S. Congress, recently used his social media platform to highlight legislative efforts and community engagement, focusing on economic policy and local initiatives.
On August 11, 2025, Kustoff posted about tax policy, stating: ” Thriving economy Stronger workforce Bigger paychecks Lower taxes make that happen. That’s why @HouseGOP fought to make @POTUS’s 2017 Tax Cuts permanent. Americans deserve to keep more of their hard-earned money.”
The following day, August 12, he shared his participation in a community event with other lawmakers: “I joined Senator @MarshaBlackburn, @SenBrentTaylor, and @RepGillespie for a roundtable discussion with community leaders on the importance of investing in our youth, safer neighborhoods, and stronger communities. Thank you to all who came together to share ideas, experiences,”
Later on August 12, Kustoff highlighted legislative achievements related to labor and wages: “.@WaysandMeansGOP & @HouseGOP delivered wins for the working class! When you work extra hours or rely on tips to support your family, you shouldn’t be penalized by Washington. “
Kustoff has served as a member of Congress since 2017 after succeeding Stephen Fincher as representative for Tennessee’s 8th district. He was born in Memphis in 1966 and currently resides in Germantown. Kustoff holds both a BA (1989) and JD (1992) from the University of Memphis.
