Rep. David Kustoff, U.S. Congressman representing Tennessee’s 8th district since 2017, shared updates on legislative efforts and local healthcare meetings in a series of posts on August 18, 2025.
In his first post that day, Kustoff highlighted recent tax legislation, stating: “The One Big Beautiful Bill puts more money back in the pockets of Americans! Thanks to @WaysandMeansGOP and @HouseGOP, hard working Americans are getting the tax relief they deserve.” (August 18, 2025).
Later, Kustoff described his visit with West TN Healthcare leaders in Henry County: “I enjoyed meeting with CEO Paula Bell and the team at West TN Healthcare in Henry County. Thank you for your dedication to helping strengthen healthcare in West Tennessee. @WTHealthcare” (August 18, 2025).
He also met with staff at another facility that day: “It was nice meeting CEO Ruby Kirby and the team at West TN Healthcare Camden in Benton County. Thank you for your commitment to providing quality care for West Tennesseans. @WTHealthcare” (August 18, 2025).
Kustoff has represented Tennessee’s 8th District since replacing Stephen Fincher in Congress in 2017. He was born in Memphis in 1966 and resides in Germantown. Kustoff is an alumnus of the University of Memphis, holding both a BA (1989) and JD (1992) from the institution.
