Rep. David Kustoff, serving Tennessee’s 8th District in the U.S. Congress, expressed his views on recent political developments through a series of tweets. These posts reflect on subjects such as legal rulings, political endorsements, and legislative priorities.

On April 8, 2025, Rep. Kustoff praised a Supreme Court ruling relating to the Alien Enemies Act, describing it as significant for securing American borders and citizen safety. He acknowledged multiple government figures for their roles, stating, “The Supreme Court’s ruling on the Alien Enemies Act is a major step forward in @realDonaldTrump’s effort to secure our border and protect all Americans. I commend @POTUS, @Sec_Noem, @AGPamBondi, and the entire DOJ for their work to make America safe again!”

In another tweet on the same day, Kustoff expressed support for Judge Stephen Vaden’s nomination as Deputy Secretary of the USDA. Kustoff affirmed Vaden’s priorities, declaring, “I am proud to join @SecRollins, @MarshaBlackburn, and @TNFarmBureau to support my good friend and West Tennessean, Judge Stephen Vaden, for his nomination as Deputy Secretary of @USDA. Judge Vaden will put Tennessee farmers, as well as every American farmer, first.”

On April 9, 2025, Kustoff addressed the 2022 leak of the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization decision and its repercussions for Supreme Court Justices. He explained his legislative response to these events with his introduction of the Protecting Our Supreme Court Justices Act. He stated, “On May 2, 2022, the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization decision was leaked, leading to Supreme Court Justices being doxed, threatened, and intimidated at their homes. This is unacceptable. This is one reason I introduced the Protecting Our Supreme Court Justices Act.”
