Rep. David Kustoff, U.S. Congressman representing Tennessee’s 8th district since 2017, posted a series of messages on his Twitter account between May 11 and May 13, 2026, highlighting his recent activities and expressing support for law enforcement during National Police Week.

On May 11, Kustoff acknowledged the efforts of law enforcement officers, stating: “This National Police Week, we recognize the bravery of the men and women in law enforcement who work every day to keep our communities safe. We are grateful for your dedication to protecting and serving others.”

The following day, he reflected on a speaking engagement at a local event: “It was good speaking at the Memphis Estate Planning Council dinner last night. I appreciated the opportunity to discuss my work on @WaysAndMeansGOP. Thank you to President Matt Buyer for the invitation.” This message was posted on May 12.

On May 13, Kustoff shared his participation in a tribute at the U.S. Capitol alongside Speaker Johnson: “This evening, I joined @SpeakerJohnson on the steps of the U.S. Capitol to pay tribute to the brave men and women who gave their lives in the line of duty. We are reminded of the courage and sacrifice of our law enforcement officers and their families.”

Kustoff has served as a member of Congress since replacing Stephen Fincher in 2017 and is currently active on committees such as Ways and Means. Born in Memphis in 1966, he resides in Germantown and holds both undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Memphis.
