Rep. David Kustoff, who represents Tennessee’s 8th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of statements on his social media account on September 3, 2025. The tweets addressed drug interdiction efforts, political alignment with the current president, and a congratulatory message to a newly appointed state official.
In an early post on September 3, Kustoff thanked the United States Southern Command for its work combating drug trafficking: “Thank you @SOUTHCOM for working tirelessly to stop dangerous drugs and cartel members before they ever reach our shores. https://t.co/Za4M9Fzlb1”.
Later that day, Kustoff reaffirmed his political stance in Congress: “I am proud to be a consistent America First vote for @POTUS in Congress! https://t.co/A9sdcBbfM5” (September 3, 2025).

Kustoff has served as a U.S. Representative since replacing Stephen Fincher in 2017 and has been continuously representing Tennessee’s 8th District since then. Born in Memphis in 1966, Kustoff currently resides in Germantown and holds both undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Memphis.
