Weakley County Sheriff's Office Life Saving Award

072e

Deputy Nolan Roberts with the Weakley County Sheriff’s Office is being recognized for his quick thinking and putting his training into action.  A subject had been arrested and was transported to the Weakley County Detention Center for processing and housing.  Upon the arrested subject’s arrival at the Detention Center, Deputy Roberts along with Deputy Aldo Aguilar, Officer Lane Vargas with Dresden Police Department and Correction Officer’s Caleb Goodine and Sgt. Jarrod Rhodes assisted another city officer getting the subject into the Detention Center.  While the subject was being searched upon arrival, the subject passed out and was unresponsive.  Deputy Roberts immediately administered NARCAN and called for EMS to come to the Detention Center.  The subject soon regained consciousness and was transported to the ER by EMS.

On May 24th, 2022 Deputy Nolan Roberts took direct, immediate and positive action to preserve the life of another human being who was in danger of dying.  The action that Deputy Roberts took did prevent the loss of a human life and the circumstance of the act was such that any delay in providing assistance would, in all probability, have resulted in the person’s death.
