University of Tennessee at Martin University Outreach Offers Free ACT Prep Through UT Martin

The University of Tennessee at Martin Office of University Outreach has partnered with the Tennessee Department of Education to offer free virtual ACT workshops and classes throughout the fall.

The ACT Success Tactics Workshop will teach students test-taking strategies for Math, Science Reasoning, English and Reading. These courses are designed to give students an overview of the challenges that each section addresses and provide educational methods to solve them.

The two-hour sessions will be conducted via Zoom.

  • Math and Science Reasoning: 23 and 30; Sept. 3, 7, 9, 13, 19 and 24; Oct. 1, 2 and 15
  • English and Reading: Aug. 25; Sept. 1, 3, 8, 9, 14, 21 and 24; Oct. 1, 2 and 15
University Outreach is also offering ACT Mastery Classes, which provide more in-depth ACT prep instruction. Students will be able to take a practice exam and learn strategies not taught in the success-tactics workshop. The Mastery Class consists of four class meetings in a one-week period, and students are expected to attend all sessions.

All classes are offered from 5-7 p.m.
