Road conditions are continuing to worsen across the area. The highways are NOT an accurate representation of the side streets and back roads. Ice is beginning to accumulate on most of the side streets and back roads. As pictured, we have already had to assist numerous motorists this morning stuck in the roadway or that have slid off the roadway and became stuck.
If you absolutely do not have to travel, we recommend staying in until the temperatures have risen and the roads begin to clear.
*****ROAD CLOSURE*****
Old Stage at 64/Baptist St is closed due to significant ice build up on the hillside on Old Stage. Cones are blocking the roadway at 64/Old Stage and Old Stage/Boyd Rd. Please use detour routes of US 224 to US 64 or vice versa for the time being.
