Seeking its 10th consecutive home victory is the University of Tennessee at Martin men's basketball squad as the Skyhawks play host to Ohio Valley Conference rival Tennessee Tech on Saturday, Jan. 7. Tipoff time is set for 3:30 p.m., following the conclusion of the women's game as part of a doubleheader matinee.

UT Martin (10-6) has emerged victorious in all nine games inside the Kathleen and Tom Elam Center in 2022-23, setting a school record for best home start to a season in the program's NCAA Division I Era (since 1992). This current stretch is tied for the longest overall home winning streak since the Skyhawks reeled off nine straight victories from Dec. 31, 2016 through Nov. 15, 2017.

UT Martin improved to 2-1 in OVC play following an 87-82 home triumph over Southeast Missouri on Thursday. Parker Stewart pumped in 25 points to go along with five rebounds and a season-high four assists while KK Curry registered his second double-double (season-best 15 points, 13 rebounds) in as many games to pace five Skyhawks in double figures scoring.

This matchup features the two top passing teams in the OVC as UT Martin ranks first with 15.3 assists per game while Tennessee Tech distributes 14.4 assists per contest. KJ Simon - who enters this game with 991 career points - averaged 15.0 points against the Golden Eagles last season while Parker Stewart excelled in his only career appearance against Tennessee Tech, recording 16 points, eight rebounds and a career-high eight assists on Feb. 6, 2020 inside the Elam Center.

The Golden Eagles (5-11, 1-2 OVC) are coming off a 70-49 home rout of Eastern Illinois on Thursday, never trailing against a Panther squad who came into the game as the only unbeaten team in league play. Morehead State transfer Jaylen Sebree tossed in a game-high 15 points while Brett Thompson chipped in 11 points for Tennessee Tech. Junior guard Diante Wood had a strong effort against the Skyhawks last season, posting 17 points, eight rebounds, three assists and two blocks on Feb. 26.

Chris Brinkley (play-by-play) and John Hatler (color) will broadcast the game live from courtside on ESPN+ and WCMT Radio 1410 AM/100.5 FM. Those links, plus a link to follow along with live stats, can be found at the top of the webpage.
