Following a frost delay that backed up tee times three hours from its original start, the University of Tennessee at Martin completed its participation in the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate with a sixth-place finish.

Playing throughout the day in extremely chilly conditions, the Skyhawks posted a 314 (+26) to end the 54-hole event with a score of 897 (+33). That final tally ranked second out of four Ohio Valley Conference schools competing in the tournament. Overall, UT Martin ranked second in the event in pars (173) and third in par-3 scoring (3.07, +4) – wrapping up the final day of the tournament in the same position on the team leaderboard as it was when the third round began.

Individually, Jacob Uehlein finished in 12th place out of 90 golfers with a 219 (+3). It marked the third top-15 tournament placement of his senior season as the Tullahoma, Tenn. native ranked sixth in the event in par-3 scoring (2.92, -1). Additionally, he also led the Skyhawks in birdies (nine), pars (36), par-4 scoring (4.20, +6) and par-5 scoring (4.83, -2).

Dax Isbell completed his tournament with a 225 (+9) while fellow freshman Luke Caldwell generated a 227 (+11), tying for a team-high in par-3 scoring (2.92, -1). Jonathan Xoinis and Bryson Morrell finished with scores of 232 (+16) and 234 (+18), respectively. Morrell and Isbell equaled Uehlein with 36 pars in the tournament.

During today's third round, Morrell led the way with a 77 that included one birdie and a co-team-high 13 pars. Uehlein (two birdies) and Isbell (one birdie, co-team-best 13 pars) followed right behind with identical scores of 78 while Caldwell and Xoinis each accounted for one birdie on the way to matching 81's.

UT Martin will take the next three weeks off from official competition before a busy finish to the 2022-23 campaign, starting with the Ernie Denham Classic hosted by Bellarmine in Louisville, Ky. on April 3-4.
