5.1% of citizens unemployed in Gibson County in 2021

Gibson County recorded an unemployment rate of 5.1% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 1,135 people out of the 50,278 living in Gibson County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Gibson County has decreased compared to the 5.7% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Gibson County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 5.3%.

Of the 21,102 people who had a job during that time, 34 were employed in the Armed Forces and 21,068 belonged to the civilian labor force.
