Rep. David Kustoff, a U.S. Congressman representing Tennessee's 8th district since 2017, has recently shared several updates on his legislative activities and meetings through social media posts.

On December 11, 2024, Rep. Kustoff announced his support for the National Defense Authorization Act by stating: "Today, I voted to pass the National Defense Authorization Act. This bill ensures our military readiness and gives our armed forces the resources they need to counter America’s adversaries. It will give our junior enlisted troops a 14.5% pay raise and all other service members…”

The following day, December 12, he addressed the issue of swatting in another post: "Swatting is dangerous and unacceptable. It endangers lives, wastes critical emergency resources, and undermines public safety. I introduced the Preserving Safe Communities by Ending Swatting Act to impose strict penalties for swatting." He emphasized the need for Congress to take action against this threat.

Later that same day, Rep. Kustoff shared details about a meeting with Trey Cleek in Washington: "It was great to meet with my good friend, former Madison County Commissioner Trey Cleek today in Washington. Trey is now the Grassroots Engagement Director for West TN @AFPTN." They discussed maintaining a competitive tax code among other topics.
