Rep. David Kustoff, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Tennessee's 8th district since 2017, shared several statements on social media addressing recent events and legislative achievements.

On November 20, 2024, Rep. Kustoff expressed his sentiments regarding a judicial outcome by stating, "Justice has been served. Our thoughts and prayers remain with the family of Laken Riley."

The following day, November 21, 2024, he acknowledged National Rural Health Day by recognizing healthcare professionals' contributions in rural areas. He tweeted, "On National Rural Health Day, we recognize the life-saving work of doctors, nurses, and healthcare providers in our rural communities. Thank you for all that you do to keep West Tennessee families healthy."

Later that same day, Rep. Kustoff announced the passage of a bill he co-sponsored with Rep. Tenney in the House of Representatives. The tweet read: "✅ My bill with @RepTenney, H.R. 9495, the Stop Terror Financing and Tax Penalties on American Hostages Act, passed the House of Representatives. This bill will waive certain IRS late fees and penalties for Americans held unlawfully abroad & would revoke the tax-exempt status of…"
