Rep. David Kustoff criticizes Biden administration's response to campus protests

Rep. David Kustoff, a current member of the U.S. Congress representing Tennessee's 8th district, has been vocal on various issues through his recent tweets. Born in Memphis and a graduate of the University of Memphis, Kustoff has served in Congress since 2017 after succeeding Stephen Fincher.

On March 7, 2025, Rep. Kustoff expressed criticism towards the Biden Administration for its handling of campus protests following an attack on Israel. In his tweet, he stated: "As a former U.S. Attorney, I know the Biden Administration should have prosecuted the violent, disruptive, and pro-terrorist agitators who have illegally occupied college campuses since the October 7 attack on Israel." He thanked former President Donald Trump for confronting what he described as "woke" and "rogue" elements.

In another tweet posted later that day, Rep. Kustoff highlighted his meeting with State Historic Preservation Officer Patrick McIntyre and former Deputy Speaker of Tennessee's House of Representatives Rep. Steve McDaniel from Henderson County. He commended their efforts to preserve Tennessee's historic sites: "I met with State Historic Preservation Officer Patrick McIntyre & @Battlefields member, former Deputy Speaker of Tennessee's House of Representatives Rep.
