David Kustoff acknowledges local leader's service and legislative efforts

Rep. David Kustoff, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Tennessee's 8th district since 2017, has been active on social media, sharing updates and reflections on various issues. Born in Memphis in 1966 and currently residing in Germantown, Kustoff holds degrees from the University of Memphis.

On December 6, 2024, Rep. Kustoff acknowledged Mayor Stan Joyner's service: "I was proud to recognize my friend, @ColliervilleGov @MayorStanJoyner, on the Floor of the House of Representatives. Mayor Joyner’s 25 years of service has profoundly shaped and improved our community. Roberta and I wish him all the best in his next chapter!"

Later that day, he addressed prison security concerns: "I applaud @Georgia_AG’s leadership on this issue and urge the FCC to cooperate with his FOIA request. Inmates should not have access to cellphones from behind bars. My legislation, the Cellphone Jamming Reform Act, is awaiting consideration in the House of Representatives."

On December 7, Rep. Kustoff commemorated Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day: "Today, we remember the attack on Pearl Harbor and honor the brave Americans who lost their lives that morning. 83 years later, we remain grateful for their immense courage and sacrifice. Freedom is never free."
