Representatives David Kustoff and Josh Gottheimer have introduced a bipartisan bill in the House of Representatives aimed at exposing corruption within the Iranian regime. The proposed legislation, known as the Stop Corrupt Iranian Oligarchs and Entities Act, seeks to direct the Department of the Treasury, in consultation with the Department of State and Director of National Intelligence, to identify Iranian oligarchs and entities profiting from their own citizens.

Congressman Kustoff stated, "It is no secret that Iran is a state-sponsor of terrorism. The Ayatollah is financially behind Hamas' horrific October 7th attack on our greatest ally in the Middle East, Israel." He emphasized the need for action against what he described as a corrupt regime threatening not only Israel but also the U.S. and Western nations. Kustoff expressed pride in introducing this legislation alongside Rep. Gottheimer.

Congressman Gottheimer highlighted the suffering of ordinary Iranians under their government's rule. He noted that since October 7, Iran's leadership has continued supporting terrorist groups such as Hamas, Hezbollah, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and the Houthis while attacking Israel. "I am proud to reintroduce the Stop Corrupt Iranian Oligarchs and Entities Act to further expose the corrupt Khamenei regime and combat terrorists that threaten our democracy and freedom," said Gottheimer.

The bill has received endorsements from organizations including the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) and the Republican Jewish Coalition (RJC).
