David Kustoff discusses Trump’s policies and reflects on past State of Union addresses

Rep. David Kustoff, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Tennessee's 8th district since 2017, recently shared his thoughts and activities through a series of tweets. Born in Memphis in 1966, Kustoff has been an active political figure with a background in law, having graduated from the University of Memphis.

On March 4, 2025, Rep. Kustoff expressed gratitude for participating in an event hosted by the National Association of Counties. He tweeted: "Thank you for having me @NACoTweets!"

Later that day, he reflected on President Biden's State of the Union address from the previous year and anticipated former President Donald Trump's upcoming address. He stated: "Just 363 days ago - With an invasion at our southern border and lawlessness in the streets - the American people watched Biden deliver a State of the Union address that provided no hope for the future. Tonight, the American people will hear of @realDonaldTrump's promises kept…"

On March 5, Rep. Kustoff commented on border security under former President Trump’s administration. He noted: "With @POTUS back in the White House, illegal border crossings are at a record low. @realDonaldTrump is delivering on his promise to make every community across America safe and secure from illegal migrant crime."
