Rep. David Kustoff, representing Tennessee's 8th District in the U.S. Congress, has been actively communicating via social media regarding his response to recent storm-related events in Tennessee. Kustoff, who has served in Congress since 2017, expressed his gratitude towards first responders and detailed his involvement in assessing storm damage and offering support to his constituents.

On April 3, 2025, Kustoff expressed his appreciation for the swift response of the Tennessee Highway Patrol during the storm, stating, "Thank you, @TNHighwayPatrol, for your quick actions to help West Tennesseans during this storm. We are grateful for you and for all of our brave first responders."

The following day, April 4, he announced his visit to Selmer in order to assess storm damage alongside Governor Bill Lee and meet with state and local officials. Kustoff emphasized his dedication to helping the community rebuild and recover, adding, "Roberta and I will continue to pray for those who lost loved ones and those who were affected."

Later, on the same day, Kustoff reiterated his commitment by posting about his visit to Selmer with Governor Bill Lee, and their meeting with McNairy County Mayor Larry Smith and Selmer Mayor Sherry Inman. He assured constituents of his efforts to collaborate with all levels of government to support recovery efforts following the deadly storms.
