David Kustoff discusses Presidents' Day and issues safety alert

Rep. David Kustoff, a U.S. Congressman representing Tennessee's 8th district since 2017, has recently shared several messages on social media covering topics from national celebrations to local safety alerts and political appointments.

On February 17, Rep. Kustoff acknowledged Presidents' Day with a tribute to past American leaders. He stated, "On Presidents’ Day, we honor & remember the leaders who shaped our nation’s history and secured the freedoms we still enjoy today. Their vision, courage, and dedication continue to be an inspiration for our democracy."

The following day, February 18, he issued a weather-related advisory for his constituents in West Tennessee. In his message, he urged caution as severe weather approached the area: "As severe weather approaches West Tennessee, I encourage everyone to remain vigilant, follow local guidance, and stay safe."

On February 19, Rep. Kustoff congratulated Howard Lutnick on his confirmation as Secretary of Commerce. He expressed confidence in Lutnick's ability to collaborate with former President Donald Trump and current President Joe Biden to bolster economic growth and maintain global competitiveness: "Congratulations to @howardlutnick on being confirmed as the Secretary of the @CommerceGov! Secretary Lutnick will work hard with @RealDonaldTrump @POTUS to drive innovation, help revive our economy, and ensure the United States stays competitive on the world stage."
