Rep. David Kustoff, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Tennessee's 8th district, shared updates on his recent engagements and legislative achievements through a series of tweets on February 12, 2025. The tweets highlight his meetings with key figures in healthcare and education, as well as progress on a bipartisan bill aimed at securing taxpayer payments.

On the morning of February 12, Rep. Kustoff met with members of the Tennessee Rural Health Association. He expressed gratitude for their efforts in providing quality healthcare and emergency services. In his tweet, he mentioned meeting "Membership Manager Destiny Shaw and CEO of West Tennessee Healthcare Bolivar-Camden, Ruby Kirby," both from Madison County. "Thank you for all that you do to provide access to quality healthcare and emergency services…"

Later that day, Rep. Kustoff had a meeting with Elizabeth Romagni, Director of Financial Aid at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) from Shelby County. He acknowledged her contributions to ensuring educational access for future generations. He tweeted: "It was great to meet with @uthsc Director of Financial Aid Elizabeth Romagni from Shelby County."

In another significant update on February 12, Rep. Kustoff announced the unanimous passage of the Recovery of Stolen Checks Act out of the Ways and Means Committee. This bipartisan legislation aims to ensure secure payment delivery for taxpayers whose checks are lost or stolen in the mail. He collaborated with fellow representatives Nicole Malliotakis and Terri Sewell on this initiative. His tweet stated: "My bill with @RepNicole & @RepTerriSewell, the Recovery of Stolen Checks Act, unanimously passed out..."
